Mother found not guilty of murdering toddler

Washington - A young mother accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter was found not guilty of murder, a Florida jury ruled Tuesday.
The case of Casey Anthony had captivated the US media since her daughter, Caylee, first went missing in 2008. Broadcasters have aired the trial live and there has been a daily rush of spectators hoping to get a seat in the Orlando courtroom.
The jury found Anthony not guilty on counts of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter. She was found guilty on four counts of lying to police officers.
Anthony, 25, cried and hugged her lawyers as the verdict was read.
Prosecutors had argued that Anthony had killed her daughter to live a care-free party lifestyle, showing the jury images of her dancing with friends shortly after her daughter died. Her defence had argued that Caylee had drowned in the family's swimming pool.
