This morning Chris Richards had the news that Fillmore Silver Spring is finally ready to open its doors on Sept. 15 with a performance by the queen of hip-hop soul, Mary J. Blige. The 2,000-capacity, Live Nation-operated venue will also host concerts by Black Star (featuring Mos Def and Talib Kweli), Blondie, Primus, Cheap Trick and the Psychedelic Furs in its first two weeks.
