'Degrassi: Now Or Never' Recap: "Love Game"

So before we begin tonight’s recap, let me give you MY stance on EClare. Of course, you’re welcome to discuss with me in the comments, but I’ve got to say my piece first: I’m NOT a EClare shipper. Though I will say that they are probably my favorite couple in Degrassi  history, my reasoning for not shipping EClare is that I actually don’t like when TV shows toy with the same couples for two long. I think Aislinn Paul and Munro Chambers are fantastic actors, but if I wanted to see them together, I could just watch old episodes. Done.
Besides, I really like the idea of fully exploring what Clare and Eli are like apart: we’ve hardly known Eli without Clare. So let's see what happens tonight, shall we?
Clare isn’t too sure about how to patch things up with Eli- the two haven’t spoken since she broke up with him. But in approaching him, Eli seems totally fine- too fine, even. It rattles Clare a little, yet even Adam says that the breakup has been fine on her ex-boyfriend. Though Alli insists that it’s good that Eli is no longer obsessed with her, Clare thinks that Eli isn’t being himself. Just then, new guy Jake appears. At dinner, when Clare discovers that Jake will be going to Degrassi, she immediately wants to take him to meet her friends, sure that it will make Eli jealous. But when they meet, it doesn’t seem to faze Eli at all. More confused than ever, Clare approaches Eli and asks for the truth, and when Eli says that he is in a good place, she totally loses it, asking that if it took him a year to get over his previous ex, did he ever really love her at all?
Jake brings Clare home, and insists that since Eli has no feelings for her, than she should just move on. Then, he kisses her, and she really really REALLY likes it. The next day, she apologizes to Eli for what she did, and maybe one day they can be friends, even though he doesn’t have feelings for her. His response? He’s on meds, so he doesn’t have feelings at all! BA-ZING!
Jenna isn’t doing too well supporting the baby on her own, and KC doesn’t seem to be helping enough for her, constantly coming in and out and spending way more time with his friends than Jenna gets to do with hers. Frustrated, Jenna finds KC hanging out Above The Dot and drops the baby off before going to meet her friends again. But it isn’t long before Jenna gets over-stressed, venting to Alli about how she feels as if she’s all alone. She explains this all to KC, saying that she just needs more of him arorund, a sentiment that he’s glad to hear. KC talks to his mom, and she allows Jenna and the baby to move in!
